The TOEIC test evaluates your English proficiency in a professional, international workplace setting. Therefore, the nouns you encounter in the TOEIC exam are vastly different from those found in general English tests.
The Corporate Context
In the TOEIC Listening and Reading sections, you will constantly hear and read nouns related to human resources, accounting, travel, meetings, and corporate policy. You must instantly recognize words like agenda, itinerary, budget, personnel, supervisor, and inventory.
A major trap in the TOEIC Part 5 (Incomplete Sentences) is testing your ability to choose the correct noun form from a list of similar words. For example, you might have to choose between produce, product, production, and productivity to fill in a blank.
This series is designed to train you on these specific business noun families, common corporate compound nouns, and the grammatical rules tested over and over again on the TOEIC exam.
