Quantifiers are words that express how much or how many of something we are talking about. They come before nouns and tell us the quantity without using an exact number.
Some vs Any
Use some in positive statements. Use any in negative statements and most questions.

She bought some apples. (positive) She didn't buy any apples. (negative) Did she buy any apples? (question)
Much vs Many
Much is for uncountable nouns. Many is for countable plural nouns.

In positive statements, a lot of / lots of is far more common than much.
There isn't much milk left. There are many students in the hall. (formal) There are a lot of students in the hall. (natural speech)
A Few vs A Little

I have a few coins in my pocket. (some coins) I have few coins in my pocket. (almost none)
Enough and Plenty

Enough means sufficient. Plenty of means more than enough.
Do we have enough time? There are plenty of seats available.
Common Mistakes
- Using much instead of many with countable nouns: ~~How much books do you have?~~ → How many books do you have?
- Using a lot of without of before a noun: ~~a lot people~~ → a lot of people
- Confusing few (negative) with a few (positive): ~~I have few good friends.~~ (implies I am lonely) → I have a few good friends.
- Using some in negative sentences: ~~I don't have some money.~~ → I don't have any money.
